On the same theme as my last post . . . When I got up this morning, it was still darkish. And hot. Before t he sun was even resting on the horizon, the temperature at my house (outside) was registering 83 degrees. The humidity was between 85 and 90 per cent. Yeah. Today's gonna be another tough day temperature wise.
But . . . I bought ice cream yesterday. Yes, I did. And I'm happy about that!
(Except for the pounds it'll add. And inches around my middle. What can a person do?)

Yesterday afternoon, I thought we somehow shifted our place of residence to the Amazon! It had sprinkled a little and the temperature was 90 something. The humidity was around 90%+ and the windows were steamed on the outside! It felt like a sauna. Seriously. Sorry to grouse so frequently, but I'm just tryin' to report the facts.

Just read the last two posts. You've lived in LA for a few years, haven't you? Surely the heat and humidity don't surprise you???? But we NEVER get used to it. I grew up in South Arkansas, just a few miles to your north, so I know from whence you speak.
And by all means, EAT THE ICE CREAM! Life's too short to miss out!
Bob, I've only passed through LA (Los Angeles) but I've lived in LA (Louisiana) more years than any other place in my life. The heat is just more intense this year than most I can remember! And I'm just complainin'! I shouldn't but I am. Lived in Texas and Alabama too and spent time in Tucson. Talk about HOT! And DRY! Man! I didn't know if I'd survive that. Yet I love Tucson. Sorry to drag out my grousing . . .
Bob, I must have misunderstood which LA you referred to. The heat and humidity down here in Louisiana is tough, but this year it's been worse than I remember. Sorry I'm so dense.
I had to smile at all the "LA" talk since I know Bob often means "lower Arkansas" when he refers to LA!
We had a nice shower (it dumped 3" in about an hour!) on Friday which definitely cooled things off a bit. Or at least back into the double digits.
Kelly, thanks for stopping by and leaving a note! I had to laugh at your comment about Bob's referring to "Lower Arkansas" as LA. I can see how that could work--esp. where my husband grew up about 1/4 mile from "UA" or Upper Arkansas and LA line. He still has family in Arkansas. Come by and visit again, any time.
