Barnes and Noble? Maybe Not.

We went on a trip. We saw lots of cool barns--and countryside. Here are some pictures we took of SOME of the barns we saw.

I just love this barn!

Wow, love the barn pics! What a great reference for an oil painting! hint - hint. I'm giving you a hard time and we haven't even met yet. I'm Susan - the painter of Nell - Ree's beloved border collie. To answer your question on her blog where you left your comment - yep, I'm a professional artist in oils. I've sold my paintings all over the place you might say. You can visit my blog at http://www.raisin-toast.com and my portfolio at http://www.vaughnfineart.com. Hope you'll visit sometime! And I mean what I said about those barns - I LOVE to paint barns!

Great pictures, really great. I love the styles depicted, all so different.

Mary, Susan and Rhubarbwhine, thank you all for your kind comments. I don't know what it is about barns, but they just kind of grab you, don't they? Maybe is so elemental to survival, grown/storing food? I don't know, but I think it's pretty much a universal affinity!

rw: I'm glad you noticed the difference. I was trying for that effect. I took more, but didn't want to overload the blogspot capacity!

S: Sorry for the glare on the inside truck window as we sped along the highway while I attempted to capture pictures along the way. I missed so many more. (Darn!)

I like noble barns better than Barnes and Nobles.

I loved that twist and almost titled this post slightly differently. ;-} Great minds think alike, huh?

I am a fan of the round one!! What a great trip.

Oh - and how apt - my word verification is "cleaki" - a reference to the barns (or sheds as we know them) by someone with a speech impediment!!
