I don't know if I can get through this without tears. Though kitty Franny put up a great fight, this afternoon she deteriorated rapidly and passed from mortality about 3:45 PM. We will miss her.
Debby and Mary, Thank you both for your kind thoughts and words. I suppose we were all just hopeful enough to "not see" the reality. But hope is like that...looking for the best outcome, the one we desire--and sometimes that clouds our clear vision of reality. We did love little Franny and miss her. I looked at some photos we took last week with the express "plan" of doing the comparison shots with her "after recovery plump shots of scampering, robust little Franny." Soooooo, we can imagine her now--in a better place, as that cute, little fur ball she might have been here--under better circumstances than those that bit with reality.
I'm glad God loves all the creatures of His creation. We were blessed to have some good days with Franny and Zooey. Maybe we'll even get to see them someday--on the other side!
