Something Wonderful and New

Today we had a new addition to our family: A Precious Little Baby Girl. First child of my youngest daughter. There is simply nothing sweeter to me than a precious, innocent, babe dewy fresh from Heaven. I want to hold her, sniff her sweet smell, and snuggle her and coo and hum to her. And then, I want to start all over again. I know of nothing better than brand new babies.

And in other less exciting news-----Just in the celebration mood, to start the New Year off really right . . . at supper tonight, my 2 year-old dental bridge fell out while I was eating supper. Fortunately it wasn't located in the front of my mouth!

However, I'm grateful for all blessings! I never liked that bridge from the get-go! (I'm afraid I'll like being nearly toothless even less, but . . . AND NO. I haven't looked in the mirror yet. I'm not ready for that.)

But . . . my husband (who was admitted to the hospital Wednesday for pneumonia) was released yesterday. So we spent our oldest daugther's birthday and New Year's Eve (same day) in the hospital just like 34 years ago. It wasn't quite as fun this time, however, but hey! Grandpa/Dad and Grandma/Mom are back home and that's always good.

So, with a brand new Granddaughter to celebrate, all is good in the world. Right?

Ooooh, babies can make nearly anything right, but your bridge...um. Not sure about that.

Congratulations, and gees, I'm sorry to hear that your husband has been sick.

Have a good year, PW.

Congrats on the new grand baby! And I don't know anything better than brand new babies either.

I'm very sorry to hear that your husband has been sick. Here's praying that he'll be well for the rest of 2010.

Nice to find you. I like it when I find other women that are also grammy's :) I have 4 myself. My oldest grandchild is 12 now, so its been a while since I held a new bundle of joy. We were gifted a surprise 3 years ago with an unexpected newbie. She's the only one that I got to experience her arrival.

Enjoy ! Enjoy! Time passes so quickly.

Blessings

Debby, 'fraid the cake (homemade carrot cake with cream cheese icing and chopped pecans) was given away to friends and family. I think I got a piece or two. It was very yummy and I was wrong not to share with you, and Bush Babe and Mary and my other bloggy friends. Thanks for thinking of me. That particular day was quite a wild one, but I think I managed to keep an even keel.

Patrina, thanks for stopping by. Grandchildren are such a blessing!
